All accommodations listed on this website have been carefully selected based on three important criteria:

The hotel must be situated in a destination where LGBTQ+ rights are recognized and respected. We look at the country’s and city’s legal stance on same-sex relationships, anti-discrimination laws, and the general social climate toward the LGBTQ+ community. Destinations with visible queer communities, pride events, and LGBTQ+ nightlife are given preference. We also avoid listing accommodations in areas where LGBTQ+ travelers may feel unsafe or unwelcome, regardless of the hotel itself.
2. A warm welcome from gay friendly hotels
Each hotel on this site has been contacted directly to confirm that they are genuinely welcoming to LGBTQ+ guests. We ask specific questions to ensure that same-sex couples can book a double bed without awkward questions or disapproving looks, and that the hotel’s staff is trained in providing respectful and inclusive service. If we sense any hesitation or vague answers, the hotel doesn’t make the list.
